Fios Powers kCura's Relativity With New Partnership

Partnership delivers the industry's most powerful service and SaaS platform for e-discovery processing, review and production

February 1, 2010

NEW YORK – Fios Inc. today announced that it has become the newest Relativity Premium Hosting Partner. Fios has combined its 10+ years of experience as a hosted e-discovery provider and its robust data management center with kCura's world-class review platform, Relativity, to deliver the industry's broadest capabilities for e-discovery processing, review and production. With Fios' dynamic approach to preparing data for review, legal teams can unlock and gain access to much more information about the relevant data than ever before.

"Our partnership with kCura delivers a 1-2 punch for managing e-discovery reviews, especially for legal teams already using Relativity," said John Cogan, senior director of marketing at Fios. "By pairing Fios' data management center and certified project management teams with the advanced features in Relativity, we provide legal teams with combined technology and services for rapid culling, review and production of relevant evidence – all through a single provider. This directly addresses our clients' needs to control costs and move fast without sacrificing quality."

"We are excited to welcome Fios as one of our Premier Hosting Partners," said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura Corporation. "Fios has been delivering quality e-discovery services to the country's top law firms and corporations for more than a decade. Relativity, delivered by Fios, is a powerful solution."

Accelerated review with Relativity

Relativity has the power to handle the industry's largest and most complex reviews, as well as the everyday matters. It is a complete, scalable and easy-to-use review platform that provides image and native file review; powerful searching capabilities, including concept searching and clustering; an interface that is customizable between users and groups; diverse coding options; flexible workflow capabilities; integrated productions; and Unicode and foreign language support.

Unmatched technology and service from a proven leader

By combining Relativity with Fios' data management infrastructure, clients benefit with:

  • Advanced data processing capabilities – Fios unlocks all of the metadata related to the electronically stored information (ESI), such as hidden cells in Excel spreadsheets or Lotus Notes files, and exposes them in Relativity for rapid review. This includes:
    • Advanced file signaturing processes to ensure accurate identification of more than 3,500 file types
    • Contextual display of email files to ensure duplicates and attachments are shown in context with like items
    • De-duplication of items during refresh collections to help reduce data volumes throughout the review
  • Scalable, secure infrastructure – Fios' grid architecture is supported by more than 1,500 blade servers and dynamically allocates resources to support document reviews and productions without backlog.
  • Expert project management services – Fios assigns dedicated project management teams, lead by seasoned, PMI-certified project managers, to ensure successful outcomes on every matter.
